So this is both a win and a fail.
Win: Completed a garment within the first two weeks of 2014.
Fail: It’s not for me.
I made a dress for my daughter. In my defense, it was already cut out and little girls only stay a size 6 for so long. (I admit, I love making girls clothes. They are so cute, relatively quick, and often a means of procrastination)
The pattern is Urban Princess by Olive Ann Designs. The directions were well written and it was easy to follow along. Cutting out the pattern was the most challenging aspect this project, but really it was due to my fabric choice.
M loves it, but she mentioned, “I would rather have the ruffles in the front.” Acck. That’s a 5-year-old for you.
The next post will be a garment that I can actually fit in. I promise.
